Once upon a time, a monkey and a giraffe were really good friends. They liked to hang out in an apple orchard.

One afternoon, when they were at the orchard, they got really hungry. It was easy for the giraffe to get up and reach ripe apples with his long neck, not for the monkey.

The monkey had forgotten how to climb apple trees. Yes, you read that right! A couple years ago when the monkey and the giraffe were snoozing in the orchard, an apple fell on the monkey’s head. It hurt the part of monkey’s brain that stored the technique to climb apple trees. How ironic.

So, now the best friends were in a pickle. The giraffe would be a bad friend if he ate alone. He shared his predicament with the monkey.

The monkey was a really smart little fellow. He said, “Don’t worry my friend I will find a solution!”

After wagging his tail for a couple minutes and thinking really hard, the monkey came up with a solution. He said, “My dear friend, you know I can’t climb the apple trees, but I can definitely climb giraffes. So why don’t you stand up, I will climb up your tail, stroll on your back, then climb up your long neck onto your head. Then both of us can eat apples together.”

The giraffe agreed and the friends followed through with the plan. Afterwards, both enjoyed the afternoon under the sun with full bellies. Soon thereafter, they were very gassy and played a farting game.
